The OFIC Seniors Program Milton is dedicated to improving the quality of life of seniors of Indian origin across Milton and the surrounding areas. Through meaningful community activities, cultural engagement, health initiatives, and knowledge sharing, we create opportunities for seniors to stay connected and actively participate in society.
Our programs encourage lifelong learning, social interaction, and overall well-being in a welcoming and inclusive environment. From wellness sessions and educational workshops to cultural celebrations and recreational activities, we help seniors build friendships, stay engaged, and enjoy an active, fulfilling lifestyle.

Our Mission
To provide opportunities for interactive participation and inclusion in different community activities to all seniors of Indian Origin in Milton and the surrounding areas.

Help seniors from the Indo-Canadian community and all others of Indian origin across Milton and the surrounding areas to improve their quality of life.
Our Goal
Promoting social participation, information sharing, Indian heritage, culture, values, traditions, and the contributions of Indo-Canadians within Canadian society.
Our Objective
Implement projects and activities to engage seniors across different fields such as: social, cultural, health & well-being, sharing senior wisdom, expertise, knowledge & skills, etc.
Eligibility: The person should be of Indian Origin and of the age 55+.
Proposed Activities:
- 1Announcements, socialization, discussions
- 2Sharing knowledge and ideas
- 3Sharing music- songs, jokes, life stories
- 4Volunteering
- 5Organizing Outings/tours/picnics during summer
- 6Yoga and seniors exercise program
- 7Community tea/snacks
- 8Buddy group formation to reduce loneliness and isolation
- 9Workshop/seminars on health and wellness, fall prevention, nutrition, safety for seniors (personal, financial, fraud and cyber-crime, banking, legal wills etc.), computer and social media training and other topics of general interest


Program Coordination
The Milton Seniors Program is led by the OFIC Seniors Committee, which plans and coordinates activities with the support of dedicated volunteers.
