18th National Diwali at Parliament Hill

Diwali known as the festival of lights, represents the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance and good over evil. Diwali was celebrated on Oct 30th under the guidance and inspiration of Hon. Deepak Obhrai P.C M.P.

The event was hosted by Overseas Friends of India (OFIC) & Canada India Foundation (CIF).

Venue: Sir John A. Macdonald Building (144, Wellington St. Ottawa).

Members of parliament from major political parties and other dignitaries graced the occasion. There were speeches, Laxmi pooja and artists from Ottawa and Montreal gave beautiful cultural performances. More than 550 people attended the event.
